The tontine, kept clear
Who contributed, for which turn, and who receives the pot.
TimaTontine helps a group keep the accounts of its tontine — a savings circle. Each member declares their contribution, the organiser validates it, and everyone sees where the current turn stands. Reminders go out on their own.
What it does
- Each person's turn, drawn at random or set in advance.
- Contributions declared, validated by the organiser, with a receipt if she requires one.
- Late payments, grace period and penalties, following the rules the group set for itself.
- The pot paid out, confirmed by whoever receives it.
- Where to send your share, shown at the moment you pay.
- A group chat, and reminders before every due date.
Solidarity fundraisers
Alongside tontines, a group can open a fundraiser to gather a sum. The app offers fourteen categories — wedding, naming ceremony, health, bereavement, emergency, mosque, home village, family, birthday, travel, association, friends, shared pot — and whoever opens it chooses the title and the goal freely.
Everyone gives what they can, the goal and the total collected are visible to all, and whoever opened it posts updates about the project.
Here too, money does not pass through the app: contributions are declared, just like a tontine's.
